DOSA RECIPE

Dosa Recipe. Healthy recipe for breakfast.
Thin pancakes made from a fermented batter of ground Rice and Lentils. This is very famous dish of South Indian Cuisine and often served with Sambhar and Coconut Chutneys.
I love rice dosa with spicy sambhar which is lentil based curry.

INGREDIENTS:
For Dosa Batter |

2 cup Rice |
1 cup Black Gram Split (Urad Dal Dhuli) |
Water |
2 tsp Oil |
METHOD: (Dosa Recipe)
- Wash the Rice and Lentils properly.
- Soak both of these in separate bowls for at least 8 hours or overnight.
- Grind the overnight soaked Rice and Lentil separately to a paste. Add some water also.
- Mix both pastes.
- Adjust the consistency by adding some water. Keep the batter of medium to thin consistency.
- Heat a non-stick pan/skillet. Grease it with oil.
- Pour the dosa batter and let it cook until crisp.
- Add oil around the edges as and when required.
- Cook it until crisp. Flip over to cook it from both sides.
- Place the spicy potato filling at the center.
- Fold the dosa by rolling the edges.
- Serve it with spicy Sambar, Coconut Chutney or Tomato Ketchup.
