Salt To Taste
1 tsp Coriander Seeds
(roasted & coarsely
crushed)
2 Onions (chopped)
1 inch Ginger (grated)
1 Green Chilli (chopped)
Water or Buttermilk
(½ cup or as required)
Oil for deep frying
  1. In a bowl, add Gram Flour (Besan), Turmeric Powder, Red Chilli Powder, Coriander Powder, Salt, Coriander Seeds (roasted & coarsely crushed), Onions (chopped), Ginger (grated) and Green Chilly (chopped).
  2. Add Water gradually to form a thick batter. Ensure the batter is not too runny. You can use Buttermilk in place of water.
  3. Heat Oil in a wok or deep frying pan.
  4. Once the Oil is hot, drop spoonfuls of the batter into the Oil to make small pakoras.
  5. Deep fry them until they turn golden brown and crisp on medium to low flame.
  6. Don’t over fry them.
  7. Remove the deep fried Pakoras to a plate after done.

Once your Onion Pakoras are ready, gently place them into the simmering Kadhi. This allows the pakoras to soak up the flavorful Kadhi, ensuring each bite is a delightful combination of textures and tastes.
