RECIPE:
INGREDIENTS |

2-3 tsp Grated Beetroot |
4-5 tbsp Chickpea or Gram Flour |
1-2 tsp Semolina (Sooji) |
Water |
Salt to taste |
Red Chilli Powder |
Coriander Powder |
Black Salt |
Chaat Masala |
Cottage Cheese (Optional) |
METHOD:
- Prepare a batter of chickpea flour, semolina and water. Adjust the consistency accordingly.
- Add all the spices red chilli powder, salt to taste, coriander powder, black salt and chaat masala to it. Mix it well.
- Now add grated beetroot to it and mix well. You can add 3-4 tsp beetroot juice too instead of adding the grated beetroot.
- Heat a non stick pan and pour the batter on it. Give it a round shape and add some oil from the sides. Flip the chilla to the other side and let it cook from both sides.
- I love it with crumbled cottage cheese. This combo is my favourite. I keep the chillas more spicy so that I do not need to add any spice in cottage cheese.
- Serve it with any sauce, homemade chutneys or curd.
