Arrange the main subject and props in a well-lit space. Don’t add any unwanted elements. Overdoing the things can spoil the atmosphere of the food photography. Experiment by adding the layers and clicking the pics at different angles.

Here I’m sharing how I made this “Chilli Paneer Gravy” look tempting in picture.

Food Styling & Photography Ideas:

  1. BACKDROP: The backdrop should complement the colour of the main subject. Here I used a wooden texture backdrop to complement the white colour of the main subject and colourful ingredients.
  2. TABLECLOTH: Adding a tablecloth gives a sense of home and also adds a layer.
  3. LIGHTING: I used an artificial light source, from the right side rather than the front or top.
  4. PLATING: Make sure to do the neat and clean plating. Served this chilli paneer gravy in white handi to make the presentation stand out.

Chilli paneer gravy is an Indo Chinese dish and generally served as a side dish or the starter. It consists of fried paneer and base of sauces is soy sauce. But I gave this dish a twist and completely changed it according to my taste. I didn’t fry the paneer as I wanted to keep it healthy and also didn’t add the soy sauce to it. My recipe version is bit similar to kadhai paneer.
