Net Dosa | Spider Web Dosa

Recipe for Spider Web or Net Dosa.

Thin pancakes made from a fermented batter of ground Rice and Lentils. This is very famous dish of South Indian Cuisine and often served with Sambhar and Coconut Chutneys.

INGREDIENTS:

For Dosa Batter
2 cup Rice
1 cup Black Gram Split (Urad Dal Dhuli)
Water
2 tsp Oil

METHOD: (For Net Dosa)

  1. Wash the Rice and Lentils properly.
  2. Soak both of these in separate bowls for at least 8 hours or overnight.
  3. Grind the overnight soaked Rice and Lentil separately to a paste. Add some water also.
  4. Mix both pastes.
  5. Adjust the consistency by adding some water. Keep the batter of medium to thin consistency.
  6. Heat a non-stick pan/skillet. Grease it with oil.
  7. Pour the dosa batter with the help of a squeezy bottle and make a net or spider web shape.
  8. Add oil around the edges as and when required.
  9. Cook it until crisp. Flip over to roast it from both sides.
  10. Place the spicy potato filling at the center.
  11. Fold the dosa by rolling the edges.
  12. Serve it with spicy Sambar, Coconut Chutney or Tomato Ketchup.
